'Amber Rudd calling Diane Abbott coloured must not be swept under the carpet'http://bit.ly/2TEin1j

Easy for you to say. You're an absolute fool, or a racist, to ask someone to let it go after being called coloured.
-
I'm sorry, but believe it or not, it's not up to you what is offensive. Especially regarding matters that you would have no idea about.
-
It’s not up to you what I say or tweet either.
-
I didn't ask you to delete your tweet, nor did I report it. I'm just opposing your blatant (and public) disregard for the power of language when it comes to being "coloured" and "not-coloured".
-
Gosh, aren’t I lucky that you haven’t reported me. I’m soooooo grateful. I absolutely understand why that word is loaded. This was debated yesterday. I don’t believe you (or Diane) think there was any ill intent. That’s why she should let it go.
-
Your condescending tone makes u a bit of a twitter troll. Nevertheless, the ill-intent of such slip ups used to be (kinda) okay till they started happening almost every week against a backdrop of questionable patriotism/nationalism - whatever way you want to wash it.
-
You have to understand that the trauma of race injustice transcends generations. You don't have to get it, but you mustn't belittle it. Out of respect, not to shut you or anyone down - this isn't a PC debate.

She called Jeremy Corbyn racist yet she’s telling others how to deal with ignorance

-
Corbyn IS anti-Semitic. His own MPs agree.
-
If your reaction to racism is telling someone to "let it go" then why would it matter to you if he was racist or not? It's evidently not something you care about in the slightest.
-
That’s exactly my point. Today she moans that everyone needs to stop calling everything racist yet she said that Corbyn was??? She doesn’t give a flying toss as long as her usual suspects jump on the bandwagon it’s all good
-
Not as tragic as your comeback

Is that what you tweeted to Luciana Berger as well, Julia? Thought not.
-
Absolutely embarrassing of you to equate the two.
-
Racism, is racism is racism. Unless of course you think one group of people are more important than another, which is yes you've guessed it
#racism. -
Using a word that WAS polite, and now ISN’T, does not constitute racism. Unless there is any evidence of intent to offend, which there wasn’t.
-
More than that the context was one of support. Diane Abbott's response was appalling.
-
It was the poorest of excuses for her to flash her well worn race card. She’s using it to persecute and undermine a fellow colleague who never meant offence.
#pathetic -
Rubbish. If Diane Abbott or any other black person found the term offensive then it is deemed racist. Whether offence was meant or not is not the point is offence is taken.
