I’m sorry Julia but do you not remember -all post boxes are red but that does not mean all red things are post boxes? Any non-racist or non-anti-semite who voted “Leave” was not the subject of the remark.

Why do you think I didn’t understand what he said? His point is that Leave voters are on the same side as racists, with the implication that we are probably a bit questionable too.

Exactly. "Leave voters are on the same side as racists" is true. But the inference that that makes them "A bit questionable" is yours not @wself 's and sums it up brilliantly. Well done, and thank you for putting it so clearly.

You're being just as daft as him, perhaps deliberately. If all racists voted for Brexit does that then mean that all Brexiters are racists? Spoiler: No it doesn't, and pretending otherwise just makes you look disingenuous..

No of course it doesn’t but he is deliberately implying that Leave voters are on the same side as racists, nudge nudge, wink wink.

Well that's true isn't it? Non racist leave voters DID vote on the same side of the racists. That's just a fact. The only deliberate act here is the decision to interpret his words in such a way as to take offence - something I believe you often rail against in others
