Galileo was persecuted for his belief in a heliocentric solar system. We are going back to those times.

Interesting how Stella Creasey turned the Newsnight discussion on knife crime into a gender issue
-
Yes, females are grossly underrepresented in the stabbing community. What can we do to encourage more young women to take up this pursuit?
-
What she was allowed to do was drift off topic and turn into an Ad hom attack about misogyny, minimising the seriousness of the discussion.

I always thought the very basis of science was to challenge hypothesis but now it seems it’s more convenient to stick our fingers in our ears while shouting “la la la... I can’t hear you” rather than challenge and disprove or prove otherwise... sad day for science

And if he had claimed that women are, on average, much better at the all-important role of raising the next generation of human beings would he also get the sack?
-
He would be correct
-
Are you claiming men are not as capable as women at bring up a child?
-
As a rule the male brain is better at systemising and the female brain better at empathising . We're a versatile species so many fathers can be as good or better than some mothers, but women are emotionally more responsive to their child's immediate needs and feelings.
-
I’m not saying there aren’t good dads out there but scientifically speaking it’s the female that’s made to do this

Firstly it is only him who thinks his results are correct, it says in the article that it was dismissed as unsicientific and innacurate. Also he did show cartoons deriding women in science which is just rude. Sounds overall a sensible decision

I would not argue with studies but they are backward looking by definition. I believe that women have the capability to compete in science and hopefully we are finally entering an era where the conditions will allow this to happen.

Well, it says in the article that it was dismissed as ‘unsicientific and innacurate’. So he doesn’t have a point.pic.twitter.com/4UfngKSeL1
