All credit to @sharrond62 for speaking out on this issue. This isn’t an anti-trans issue, this is simply about keeping sport fair...https://twitter.com/sharrond62/status/1101618115291594752 …

I have nothing against anyone who wishes 2be transgender. However I believe there is a fundamental difference between the binary sex u r born with & the gender u may identify as. To protect women’s sport those with a male sex advantage should not be able 2compete in women’s sport

Perhaps in 20 or 30 years people will shake their heads at the way in which Western societies allowed ideology to trump science. That's the optimistic outlook.

I can’t help thinking about the advantages a transgender swimmer might have - bigger feet and longer arms etc.

If a male has gone through puberty as a male their muscle mass is superior, they have larger lung capacity and bone density. There will never be anything fair in competing against women.

Already have. There is a UFC fighter (with a token loss of course, to shut down the objections) who fractured the skull of a born female.

Perhaps the only solution is trans only sports. They can have different classes, M2F F2M and have subsets depending on how far along they are in their trans-ition.

Or they could just leave sport the way it is instead of trying to take over that as well as everything else?

They'll just say that's discriminating because they're a woman even though they still have their male bits... they could always just accept the fact that if they have balls then they're a bloke, simple really.
