The "Hardliners" are the remainer MPs in Parliament who are doing all they can to stop the Brexit process. They are pushing the EU into ruin.pic.twitter.com/2tHiQKP0Gk

I would add ‘in tune with the public mood’...’honest’... ‘dependable’... and ‘trustworthy’.

MPs who simply want to honour the 2016 referendum result should not be referred to as “hardliners”, “extremists” or “die hards”. A more accurate word would be “lemmings”. Their premise is that if the electorate votes for foolishness you must still honour the choice of the fools.
-
Every time the electorate votes for a Labour government, I accept we must still honour their choice even though I don't agree with it. BTW, while disagreeing with their decision, I accept their right to make it and would never be arrogant and stupid enough to call them 'fools'.
-
There r some issues that should never b put 2 a national vote. 2 ask 'should the NHS b abolished?' or 'should the Home Office b scrapped?' would b foolish questions 2 ask, & anyone answering 'yes' 2 those questions would b fools. The EU referendum should never have gone ahead.
-
Perhaps you should have shouted this in Feb 2026, when you thought Remain would win hands down.

That’s just the opposite and you know it. That’s the problem. Democracy did not stop in 2016. Extremists are those who aren’t prepared to allow a country to change its mind based on new facts. Three years on. You are hijacking democracy and parliamentary sovereignty
-
The facts haven't changed, it would be exactly the same argument if asked the same question, nothing has changed apart from people waking up to how bloody arrogant the EU is.
-
Nothing has changed? Apart from the leave lies being highlighted for what they were - lies, untruths and misinformation. Curruptly funded by cheaters, chancers and foreign money. The result was a fraud - as proven in court.
-
What lies ?
-
But here’s your starter for 10: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/final-say-brexit-referendum-lies-boris-johnson-leave-campaign-remain-a8466751.html … And there are many, many more...
-
Which bit is a lie?
-
<sigh> There’s just no pleasing some people. For starters, the ‘we send £350m to the EU’. Even the electoral commission told them that was misleading. Then there’s the ‘let’s give it to the NHS’. It’s not going to happen, is it? Turkey joining the EU - the UK has a veto.
-
We do send £350 million. “Lets” is a suggestion so can’t be a lie, Turkey could still join at some point and as of 2022 there will be no vetos for members.. so come on, try again, where’s the lies?

I wonder how many of the 17.4m have changed their mind after they realised the enormity of the lies they were told?
-
Polls suggest that 56% of the voting population would now vote Remain. Read
@RemainerNow; read the court case from@UKEUchallenge. Brexit was riddled w/illegalities; the PM's QC said so & that she knew, but went ahead anyway. Lawbreaking cannot be the basis for governance. -
But no one has bothered to quantify the extent of the wrong doing.

Perhaps it's because they can't find any evidence of illegality ? Ever thought that ? Maybe like the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and the city of El Dorado it's not there and only exists in the minds of remainers.

"leading Oxford University academic believes" is not evidence
