Poor you. You can't apply being the daughter of a GP and having attended Magdalen College (according to Wikipedia one of the wealthiest constituent colleges of the University of Oxford, with an estimated financial endowment of £180.8 million as of 2014)

My mother was a trainee doctor for much of my childhood and became a GP when I was 18. I went to a comp and got into Oxford because I was clever enough. Not sure why that’s got anything to do with whether anyone should get a job at the BBC though...
