A crucial requirement for applicants to that BBC job... you have to have the right coloured skin or parents who are the right class.pic.twitter.com/2NZysMlStH

Poor you. You can't apply being the daughter of a GP and having attended Magdalen College (according to Wikipedia one of the wealthiest constituent colleges of the University of Oxford, with an estimated financial endowment of £180.8 million as of 2014)

My mother was a trainee doctor for much of my childhood and became a GP when I was 18. I went to a comp and got into Oxford because I was clever enough. Not sure why that’s got anything to do with whether anyone should get a job at the BBC though...

Yes, but... I had a cr@p start in life (very), but I did OK - worked physically very, very hard, put myself through university (only one in family ever to do so), climbed greasy corporate pole, retired early (FIRE). If I can do it anyone can. I admire success. No time for haters.
