No it isn’t. Why on earth should any woman need to cover her hair while she is running? Who is she showing modesty to?https://twitter.com/basialcummings/status/1100679039164051456 …

Then they are doubly the victim yet you still choose to punish *them*. Curious priority.
-
No, not punishing them. I would ban the burkha and niqab, but not the hijab, except for school girls. No one is stopping adult women wearing the hijab if they choose. But other people are entitled to object to the garments being sold.
-
As a Sikh with unshorn hair, I wear a patka (like a bandana) to keep my hair in tact for sports, should that be banned too? If decathlon came up with a sport friendly version of that, should they be prevented from selling...?

Do you have the same issue with catholic nuns?
-
They wear their absurd outfits for different reasons but yes, I think their outfits are ridiculous too.
-
You wouldn’t say that to the nuns I knew as a kid...they were hard as nails..they would have knock you out..

..as a kid I used to help out in a naughty girl school run by the church,I seen many a tough girl reduced to tears...with just one look..

Then play the ideology not the woman. Otherwise you are in danger of demonising an already marginalised and victimised section of our communities. There’s a distinct line between the two arguments and it takes sensitive handling.pic.twitter.com/HiyQVS9tq5

Demonstrating your point with a terrorist enabler doesn’t really help
-
Yes it does. It’s the ideology that is the danger. The hatred engendered by one brainwashed girl puts many more moderate hijab wearing ones at risk. With the sort of followers
@JuliaHB1 has she should be more considered. Otherwise one might see her as encouraging racial hatred. -
If you want to conflate religion and terrorists that’s your choice, it’s not an example I would choose if defending a religion.
-
I'm not defending ANY religion. I'm defending the right of an individual to follow it peacefully and 1/

be protected from prejudice and racial hatred thinly veiled as faux secular thinking.
