Yes, but... I had a cr@p start in life (very), but I did OK - worked physically very, very hard, put myself through university (only one in family ever to do so), climbed greasy corporate pole, retired early (FIRE). If I can do it anyone can. I admire success. No time for haters.

When I left uni, a number of my friends got jobs at the BBC on BME only initiatives. Every single one of them went to private school. How on earth were they underprivileged?

Why not open it up to everyone qualified for the position? Regardless of race or background. Surely you’d want the best person suited for the role rather than shutting out certain races etc.
