As long as there are some women who *choose* to wear it not under coercion, you are effectively making victims of *them* rather than attacking the misogynistic monsters of the taliban/wahabi bent. Shame on you. Oh, and yes, I think covering up for religious reasons is bonkers.

They choose to wear it because they have been indoctrinated with an ideology that tells them women who don’t wear it are basically asking for it.
-
Then they are doubly the victim yet you still choose to punish *them*. Curious priority.
-
No, not punishing them. I would ban the burkha and niqab, but not the hijab, except for school girls. No one is stopping adult women wearing the hijab if they choose. But other people are entitled to object to the garments being sold.
-
As a Sikh with unshorn hair, I wear a patka (like a bandana) to keep my hair in tact for sports, should that be banned too? If decathlon came up with a sport friendly version of that, should they be prevented from selling...?

Funny how the right are all for free speech and freedom of expression if it involves criticising Muslims or foreigners, but people can't have the freedom to wear (or indeed sell) whatever they want.
-
People do have the right to wear the hijab. They don’t have the right to require companies to sell it to them.
-
Ok so no issue with protesters stopping right wing speakers at universities? 'Right wingers have a right to free speech but don't have a right to require universities to give them a platform.'

So the ideology that believes women must cover up for reasons of modesty isn’t far right, but the lady who objects, is?
-
I think you’re confusing who is telling who what they should wear. Julia is saying women shouldn’t wear what they want. Lots of people who support people’s rights to wear what they want (subject to decency norms) disagree with her.
-
I don’t necessarily disagree on the freedom of choice, but to label anyone who disagrees as far right is a lazy cliche.

Are Denmark, Germany, France, Turkey and Tunisia far right countries then?
