Just approaching the border between France and Switzerland...

Wait. Switzerland does not permit heavy goods trucks on roads on a Sunday so I seriously doubt you
#asusual -
Agreed. Saw lots of trucks parked up at the frontier today and last Sunday. I suspect you have successfully called JHB’s bluff here.
-
Yup. I remembered from my supply days into Switzerland and did a quick google check. Took one minute to confirm. Facts

As a daughter of a truck driver I can tell you only Swiss trucks empty will be allowed to cross the boarder on a Sunday as all customs offices are closed, anyway go and take a look at the boarder at Basle first thing on a Monday around 15k line of trucks ready to clear customs-

Confusing her with facts..

So many people just don’t know the ramifications of leaving the EU. Goodness knows what they will do when problems start with the supplies at customs if the paperwork is not correct. My dad has been held up many times going through Switzerland with Discrepances on paperwork.

Gosh Julia it’s almost as if you’ve posted something knowing it has no bearing on the UKs situation whatsoever just for attention. Fancy that.

The customs border between SUI & FRA Wed 23/01/19 at 7am. To the right is a large building and lorry park. Infrastructure. It gets busier on holidays and half term weekends. I don’t want this on the island of Ireland just because it suits you.pic.twitter.com/1DNddjDSU2

Loaded Trucks? Sunday? Not allowed on the road in Switzerland or France on Sunday, unless it’s perishable. All this proves is that you’re a dreadful, dreadful liar.

So Switzerland isn’t in “control of its borders”, then? I thought one of the most important objectives if Brexit was to “take back control of our borders”.

That's it! We just join EFTA like Switzerland instead of doing the Numpty version of Brexit. Sorted! Tell

I wonder if Switzerland has to follow EU law while contributing to the EU budge to benefit from this agreement without actually having a say on the law it must adopt? True sovereignty

-
Well I would sooner have Germany plus - which is what we now have. But the Swiss model is a lot better than the car crash we are in the midst of now.

Swiss Customs are closed over the weekend. Either you are lying or a crime has been committed. Which is it? https://www.ch.ch/en/swiss-customs/ …

Sure you can translate this which shows HGVs were banned on Sunday as you crossed. Is possible with permit usually for critical fresh food such as milk so that would explain why you "apparently" saw HGVs.
