Sorry, but Shamima Begum is OUR problem. She was born & raised in Britain. Bring her home & prosecute her as the terrorist she is & throw her in prison for decades. We can’t just leave her free to support Isil’s next attack on innocent people.https://twitter.com/itvnews/status/1097928726678065157 …

Julia - you are normally right - but not on this! For a start, she is very unlikely to be prosecuted and even if she was, what possible charge could be attract a sentence of decades - and where is the evidence to secure a conviction?

I presume the reference to ‘decades’ in prison was an exaggeration for effect, as I can’t see it happening. Let the revocation of her citizenship & becoming persona non grata be her punishment, it’ll be cheaper than tax payers funding her prison life, use of NHS facilities etc.

But then isn’t the British taxpayer is paying for her imprisonment and trial 🤔🤔🤔 let her stay there and save the trial. She’s getting more press than she deserves 🤭🤭🤭

You're probably right in that multiculturalism has in all likelihood contributed to the ghettoisation of urban centres & allowed extremism to flourish in certain places. I still don't see how that's Bangladesh's problem. We made this mess. We should clean it up.

The issue is she has Bangladesh / Islamic values not British values - so send her back to where her values are best placed - not where she can get a free meal ticket..

Unfortunately she wouldn't be incarcerated for years, and would then be another 'trojan horse' to plan atrocities like Manchester.

yeah needs to be changes made to protect us from people like this. Prison for life or at least many decades needs to be a reality, plus some sort of segregation in jail to prevent these people radicalising others.
