I manage these types of corporate finance decisions for living. This project would have taken months, with a variety of assumptions and scenarios modelled. Brexit would have impacted this, as part of the financial model. 1

The PR response would also be carefully managed and signed off at the top. Honda will still want to sell cars into this market and alienating 52% of customers (possible more when factoring in customer segmentation) would have been considered 2

It would be bad business to admit BREXIT is all or even part of the reason. So why mention it as a significant driver of the decision, when you can say something else. The decision would have been complicated and nuanced. Can't blame it on Brexit entirely, but it is a factor
