Funny that, eh? I guess there must be *some* advantages to being married to the person in whose name criminal prosecutions are brought...https://twitter.com/cpsuk/status/1096001876292784128 …

He said sun blinded him. I guess no way of proving otherwise beyond reasonable doubt. And considering he has surrendered his licence, an expensive court case to result in him being forced to surrender his licence/ban just wouldn't be in public interest.

If the sun blinded him, he couldn’t see the road so shouldn’t have pulled out

For the sun to move any appreciable distance and allow a clear view would mean waiting at least an hour. How long would you wait if you were in the car behind him?

Roger by this tweet I'm wondering whether you should be allowed to drive a vehicle? Have you read the 'Highway Code' about pulling out at a junction because I ride a motorbike!

I used to ride a bike. I'm also aware of where the sun is and how it might affect other drivers being able to see me. Now, answer the question. If you're being dazzled while trying to pull out how long do you wait?

you never pull out of a junction until you see its clear otherwise your gambling with other peoples lives, use your hand as a peak to cut out the glare before pulling out

That works when the sun is high. What about when it's low? And I repeat, how long does one wait?

As I suspected, you don't have an answer to the question. Therefore I'm forced to the conclusion that you would do the same as most people and take a chance that there's nothing coming.
