And what do the other 49 million want, Julia?

It's 16.1million - that's the number that voted remain and expressed a preference. Happy to help.
-
And what about the cronies who voted leave and would be dead by now or in the foreseeable future... think we should minus them from the equation (and spare a thought about future generations who will have to live with the consequences of brexshit)
-
Sorry, but did that simple fact confuse you. We held a referendum in which 33 million people voted and expressed their opinion on a binary question. Leave got more votes than remain. Simple.
-
Now leave voters (who were significantly closer to death) FACT, have probably done so (died) or will be doing so in the next coupleof years. Thus leaving a clear majority of remainers to live with the shambles. And, seeing as no referendum is binding, only advisory. This is

Your thought process is quite obnoxious and I have no desire to have you on my time line. Goodbye.

Obnoxious or representative of the truth?

Just watch ‘inside Europe, 10 years of turmoil.’ How easy people forget and we’re only talking about the last decade. A must watch of why we need to get out ASAP.

It is certainly true that if you're leaving and they try to intimidate you or harm your future - you'll be far more determined to succeed and will gain much more support as to why you left that tyranny.

there are 60m in this country an electorate of over 40m yet a minority of 17m can dictate the destiny of this country ...no that referendum has no political legitimacy
-
If they can't be bothered to vote they have no right to bemoan the outcome. I voted remain but didn't get enough of my fellow citizens to agree with me. That my friend is democracy like it or not.
-
Ok and democracy was seem to be done in the follow up election which is of more importance is it not and those same people did not give the country a majority Tory Govt and Brexit should really have been dumped there and then as that was democracy at play
-
How so? You're assuming that the election results reflected the nation's feelings towards Brexit. The opinion on Brexit is not split along party lines therefore to assume all labour and libs are remainers and all tories are leavers, rendering your argument illogical.
-
In Johns head, everyone that chose not to vote agreed with him. In his head democracy is when the people that lose the vote get to count all the votes that could have been made and the votes from everyone ineligible to vote and his pet goldfish
