It’s probably nicer than the special place in Hell reserved for overpaid Brussels bureaucrats who think voters shouldn’t get to decide how their own country is run, Donald @eucopresidenthttps://twitter.com/eucopresident/status/1093112742293266435 …

That's right campain to leave the EU but when it comes to actually doing it oh no that's your job. Bit like Reese-Mogg, Boris and Farage et al

Tusk has helped run the EU in to the ground its riddled with problems, yet has no plans in place for improvement to hear him speak you would think remaining in the declining EU is winning the golden lottery ticket.

Yep standard brexiteer pundit, time you accepted responsibility for the mess you've helped create.
-
Agreed. What a pathetic response from
@JuliaHB1.

Perhaps we should have had a plan to vote on in the first place, before we voted, rather than lies, fantasies and vague promises.
-
How exactly can you have a referendum on a plan? What would that look like exactly? It’s incredible the crystal ball you expect Leavers to have while being completely unable to specify the plan for remaining. Nobody mentioned there would be an EU army, diplomatic service, etc.
-
Really, Brexiteers should have offered a plan instead of running away and sniping at everyone else. However, those political animals knew a hand grenade when they are holding one. Far better to be in the tent pissing out than the other way around.
-
Brexiteers, like Remainers, are an amorphous group. All have different reasons for wanting out. They aren’t a political party with a manifesto, that’s what we elect MPs to do. Ironically the Remainers champion, Gina Miller has almost guaranteed no deal with meaningful vote
-
You're kinda proving Tusk's point.
-
Which is?
-
There was no plan
-
No there was no plan. It was a referendum. It asks a binary question about direction. It was going to be for government to drive us to the destination once it was decided but Gina Miller’s meaningful vote put parliament in the driver’s seat.

It wasn't the govt who campaigned to leave. It was the duty of those who wanted to, to at least have an inkling of an idea of a plan. Instead we got nothing. Stop pushing blame elsewhere. Its your cock up. Own it.

While May and Cameron might not be expected to have a plan, we might have expected that folk like Bone, Redwood and Rees-Mogg, who'd been banging on about leaving the EU for years might have had the glimmer of a plan. I excuse Boris because he was a last minute Charlie.
-
Well their plan would be WTO.
-
Well if that's the case, it begs the question why this was never mentioned in the referendum campaign and why we were told in so many different ways about the wonderful trade deals we'd do with the EU and the ROW (40 being ready for exit day according to Dr Fox).
-
We haven't and can't and couldn't ever start discussing trade with the EU or other countries yet. We are negotiating the WA. May agreed to a deal which the house will not pass. That's the issue, and that is precisely why we are in a potential position of a WTO Brexit.
-
https://www.businessinsider.com/liam-fox-promises-to-sign-40-free-trade-deals-the-second-after-brexit-2017-10?r=US&IR=T … Not true that we can't discuss trade deals with other countries. We can't sign, but can negotiate agreements ready for signature. Indeed, the disgraced former defence secretary claimed there'd be 40 ready for signature the second after Brexit.
-
If we don't know what our trading relationship will be post departure there is very little one can negotiate on.
-
A point made by many remainers, which begs the question why the leave campaign claimed otherwise. Given the length of time it takes to negotiate a typical trade agreement, you have to question the damage that is likely to be done to our economy while we wait for this to play out.
