He's had 3 days to delete it Julia. Instead he's left up something that historians, journalists, other politicians and members of the public have told/shown/demonstrated to be a lie. And he's doubled down and entrenched.

Yeah, like I said, he’s being a dick about it.
-
And that matters. Sorry, but we want truth back in our discourse, and whilst that might be inconvenient for you and a lot of your friends, we're not going to shut up about it.
-
Truth in political discourse would hurt Julia's business model.

But as a journalist, isn’t it your job to correct them?

You were laughing at the word journalist I take it

I’m trying to imagine your contempt if Corbyn had committed the same - boom ! I dare say you wouldn’t be tweeting the above

If the Tory MP was poised to be our next Prime Minister, yes, I would take it more seriously.
-
So lies only matter when one person per party is attributable? The rest can have at it?

He tweeted it - it wasn't rushed out under pressure in an interview. It would have taken him 1 minute to fact check that while composing it, which a responsible MP should do. If he genuinely believed it then fine, but he should have then deleted the tweet when corrected.
-
Yes, I agree on all points
-
So when a prominent figure such as an MP then not just deletes the inaccurate Tweet but actively defends it, hangs up when challenged on TalkRadio, deflects attention onto other issues despite it being provably false, that's just lefties making a fuss? Sounds deliberate to me.

Julia can’t really see what the big deal is all about, it’s only an MP stating misinformation and refusing to acknowledge that fact and retract. You can also tune in to Julia’s show most days and hear politicians lie and Julia fail to correct them...

It matters to the people of
#Shrewsbury that our MP is the laughing stock of Britain It’s not laughable to *us* that people spout lies and refuse to correct them - 1 more reply

I take it that if you don't think it matters if he lies, you don't think it matters if you also lie, Julia?
-
I didn’t say it didn’t matter if he lies. Can’t you read the actual words I wrote??!!?
-
OK, you said it doesn't matter 'this much', a totally meaningless phrase. How much does it matter if someone lies then, and who is to judge 'how much'? How much does it matter if you lie?
-
Shouldn't it be the job of someone like you to take apart lies like this, that are being used to whip up hatred?

Then she ought not to have the job. She should learn from James O'Brien.
