Actually they said the decision was for business reasons & added a statement about brexit “While we have taken this decision for business reasons, the continued uncertainty around the UK's future relationship with the EU is not helping companies like ours to plan for the future"

I'm absolutely, 100%, convinced that #Brexit is a perfect storm of monumental stupidity and akin to national suicide. There, does that clear up any lingering doubts?

They were just being diplomatic. What they meant to say was: "Why would we build our cars that we want sell into the EU in your country? We have a free trade deal with the EU! You don't."

Project fact - on Friday EU and Japan announce a tariff free trading arrangement - this enables a Japanese company to have certainty over their company policy- this shower of shite called Brexit gives no certainty whatsoever about anything, what would you do ? Hope ? Dream ?

Or if we just left with a clear direction instead of this shambles. They should have said in March 2017: “we’re leaving on WTO rules in 2 years. Businesses should prepare for that. All government departments will do the same. We will try to find a deal, but it may not happen.”

Exactly what Gina Miller said on Questiontime: And I agree. Would have been responsible thing to do, but 86% of small businesses have not prepared and many will shrink their businesses instead of looking to trade with other countries if EU trade becomes non-viable.

80% of small businesses are solely concerned with the domestic market and do not export into the EU. Those that do should have been preparing last summer; many have (including my own).

Do you think the problem is uncertainty that brexit could be a huge success and provide a major boon to the economy? Or is it uncertainty that there's a possibility the manufacturing industry could collapse? 🤔

Good grief, are you still there, clinging on by your fingertips to the tatters of an argument? Why not go up to Sunderland and explain to those about to lose their jobs the fine, nuanced differences between Brexit and the uncertainty caused by Brexit?

Indeed. Sad part of this whole self-harm called #Brexit is that big businesses would move, halt productions, do redundancies and survive. But a large number of small businesses would just go bust.
