Muslim school will not allow girls to eat lunch until after boys have finished, Ofsted chief says. This isn’t in Saudi Arabia. It’s in Birmingham. In 2019. This is where the fetish of celebrating “multiculturalism” leads. @telegraphhttps://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/2019/01/30/muslim-school-will-not-allow-girls-eat-lunch-boys-have-finished/ …

You are spot on ...this is not a Muslim country and they can practice their religion but cannot instill it in school..sex discrimination is illegal . Arrest all the school governors for this act

Correct but they let the Indian population still worship their own religion. If the extremist Muslims had their way the UK would be under Sharia Law. Don't suppose you would be able to show your face or hair! Be in your case it would be a good idea!

Not 1p of public money should go into ANY faith based education system. Those invisible friends need, at the least , a CRB check

Not even CE or RC? I think the problem here may be more equality and the focus being purely on a single religion and culture. I’ve an eight year old who attends a CE School where they’re taught a variety of faiths and cultures, which imo is a far better system.

As a product of the sectarian education system in northern Ireland I see no place for any religion in any education establishment where state funds are used. Religious faith is purely personal and imposing it on children is wrong and tantamount to abuse. It's mind control.

Clearly, if true, that's not great but, please stop with the rabble rousing bigotry & false equivalences. A far more disturbing fetish is that The Garrick club ( chock full of very rich, very powerful, old white men) STILL does not admit women. This isn't the days of the Raj!

Dear apoplectic tweeters😁 Ah. So you don't like false equivalence - like comparing sexism in a school to a murderous Saudi regime. Did you read this line in BBC article on issue? "about 20 schools, Islamic, Jewish & Christian are thought to have similar segregation policies 1/

The bigoted rage of some confirms the obnoxious anti muslim dogwhistle by J H-B I may have got less abuse if I’d written ‘wrong’(true) rather than ‘not great’. Understatement doesn’t work on twitter FWIW I don’t support religious schools of any creed. This has been fun /2

Birmingham has a population in which 60 per cent now say they are not British. Amaxing fact - Northern Ireland is now more British than Birmingham - England's second city!

There will be no border poll unless it appears that there is a majority who may wish to have a United Ireland. That condition is most unlikely to arise!!
