Maybe those supermarkets moaning about the lack of fresh produce coming in from Europe will now look closer to home and buy British produce thus helping our own growers and farmers. Just a thought.

Oh Cliff... British farming has been integrated with Europe over decades. It will take a long time & a LOT of money to get the UK anywhere close to self-sufficient. That's for the things we CAN grow of course. Thankfully Brexit has all been carefully planned hasn't it?

In Ipswich we’re getting up and running with tomato production. 50,000 vine tomatoes a week. Excellent, well done, but 50,000 = less than one tomato a week for one in a thousand people in the UK. Still a bit of a shortfall, no?

Yes, but this is the future of growing tomatoes in the UK and hopefully other hydroponic systems will emerge. However, I’m not sure why anyone thinks that Spain are going to stop selling their tomatoes to UK customers - that’s a lot of fruit to be stuck with. #rottentomatoes

The Spanish have plenty of other buyers for their food. In Brexit Britain the prices will rise and the supply will be limited. I'm sure you voted for this.

I dislike many of the tomatoes that come in from abroad. Many are grown for their ability to travel i.e. hard and tasteless - probably picked months before consumption. Not eating a tomato in the winter isn’t on my list of ‘how to recognise Armageddon when it arrives’. 😉😄

All the remoaners wishing for our country to fail once we leave - saying what may go wrong, but if things do go wrong it’ll likely be because they decided to divide the UK and not stand with the majority! And they have the audacity to tell leave voters that it’ll be our fault!

Exactly my point! You’re already labelling it a catastrophe! Successful outcomes didn’t become successful because the creator sat back & let it just happen! You have to work hard for great things, but when people like you give up then you help it fail - just to say I told you so!

Why should those who wish to remain work hard to sort out the mess those who wanted to leave created? The country is divided, noone has a clue what's going on and from the promises of 2 years ago martial law is now 'possible'. You wanted it, you asked for it, you deal with it.
