Brexit fact: if your daughter can’t get her cancer drugs after Brexit @DrJMGF then who exactly do you think will be stopping those drugs from getting to the UK? This won’t happen unless the EU decides to risk British lives. Your daughter will get her vital drugs. https://t.co/ncX77Lso9V

-
We won’t have an FTA - which might be solved quickly I suppose but we’ll have border checks so HUGE delays in getting the drugs here. There’s been no planning for what to do for a no deal, not enough trained border guards etc - not worth the risk and NOT scaremongering.
-
How on earth do you think we got drugs before 1972? There may be a delay but we would just order more. It’s called stockpiling & we’re already in the process of doing this. There are more ports in this country than just Dover you know, like at least 120.
-
"there may be a delay" the clue is in your own sentence....."may" causes worry.
-
The government can set rules so drugs coming into the country aren’t checked and delayed. Damn that was hard work to think of a quick solution.
-
And how do they get the 40 trucks ahead that are being checked and are causing the delay out of the way?
-
"Please let me through, my truck is full of drugs" will certainly be a novel thing to shout to a customs officer.

It will be our borders that will be closed. We need to be checking everything from now on because, you know, Brexit was about stopping FOM and FOM is not just about people it’s about goods too. So we need to control our borders otherwise what’s the point of Brexit?
-
1. Borders not closed. They’re controlled and under our own management. 2. FOM is about being able to move and work freely now transport goods 3. Why do we need to be checking everything when current ‘checks’ won’t change
-
1) Indeed. So we will be controlling our borders post Brexit with checks otherwise why Brexit? 2) There are 4 freedoms of movement - one is for goods. Out of EU and that disappears. 3) Switzerland is not in EU and so everything is checked. Don’t want so many checks? Stay in EU.
-
Port of Calais have already confirmed they won’t be checking any more goods transports in or out
-
Well that’s one port. Excellent.
-
Not like it’s one of the busiest or anything.
-
In your simple Brexit world it will all be fine. Yet we know that supply chains are already being disrupted .... but close your eyes and believe and it will all work out. I’ll be blaming you if it isn’t.
-
I’ll cry myself to sleep when you do

Answer: We become a mere third country. That's why. Work it out. Any shortage will be a failure of our government to make provision, for heaven's sake, we had two years.
-
How do they not get this yet?

A vote for
#Brexit was a Vote to leave the Regulatory Body which oversees Pharma and makes sure it's safe to use. We voted to leave that. Thus EU cannot sell into our Market until we replace that body. - through our own choice. *Our Choice* .. actually, *Your* Choice.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

My god how blind and blinkered are you. A relative is an oncology nurse and they ARE RUNNING SHORT OF CHEMO RIGHT NOW. Simple, our government is stockpiling them. Stop believing your own untruths and smell the coffee.
