Brexit fact: if your daughter can’t get her cancer drugs after Brexit @DrJMGF then who exactly do you think will be stopping those drugs from getting to the UK? This won’t happen unless the EU decides to risk British lives. Your daughter will get her vital drugs. https://t.co/ncX77Lso9V

How can you still not get it? I’m a primary school teacher and I get that the EU are rules based and not being nasty or bullying or mean just applying their rules consistently. How can you not see it for what it is? You’re not stupid - far from it - so why don’t you get it?
-
And which rule will stop them selling drugs to the U.K.?
-
We won’t have an FTA - which might be solved quickly I suppose but we’ll have border checks so HUGE delays in getting the drugs here. There’s been no planning for what to do for a no deal, not enough trained border guards etc - not worth the risk and NOT scaremongering.
-
How on earth do you think we got drugs before 1972? There may be a delay but we would just order more. It’s called stockpiling & we’re already in the process of doing this. There are more ports in this country than just Dover you know, like at least 120.
-
"there may be a delay" the clue is in your own sentence....."may" causes worry.
-
The government can set rules so drugs coming into the country aren’t checked and delayed. Damn that was hard work to think of a quick solution.
-
And how do they get the 40 trucks ahead that are being checked and are causing the delay out of the way?
-
"Please let me through, my truck is full of drugs" will certainly be a novel thing to shout to a customs officer.

Medical JIT supply chains are advanced and interlinked. Efficient functioning depends on all companies involved being fully prepared for no-deal Brexit. Even assuming the UK accepts all current EU MAs, and drops medicines checks on entry, there is a huge potential for error.
-
This has little to do with the EU and a lot to do with the consequences of putting massive stress on a complex supply system. Whilst individual companies are positive on their preparations, only the very brave would assert there will be no issues with functioning of the whole.
-
She'll still find a way of blaming everything on the EU, Dr.

Let's take all these scare stories as completely true.... Question is.. Why have our former PMs, MPs over the last 40+ yrs allowed the United Kingdom to be 'sold out' so much, that we can no longer get drugs, clean water or food without being part of this 'EU Project'?

Because they are weak hearted liars in it for themselves

Its not just this mum thats scared though is it? Its industry experts. They've been saying this for two years and brexiteers have had their fingers in their ears singing "lalalalalal project fear lalalalal"
-
Listen to experts? Those experts who cause the banking crisis, the ones who got the polls wrong - Scots Indy, Brexit, Trump, etc. The experts in charge of failing businesses - those kinds of experts?
-
You do realise that experts are not some kind of race of aliens don't you? Just because one expert gets something wrong that is not necessarily indicative of all experts. Comparing the global economic downturn to food shortages is an argument so futile I can't even be bothered.
-
OK, so until food or medicine shortages actually happen, it’s scaremongering. I’m guessing if we were not leaving the EU and that ‘Doctor’ had said “I can guarantee your supply of medicines”.... and then the supply chain failed for whatever reason - who gets the blame?
-
The person or people responsible. Like now, the government are responsible for driving us off a cliff. And Vote Leave are responsible for the lies. Voters were mislead. I don't blame brexit voters.
-
"I don't blame brexit voters." Very magnanimous and not patronising in the slightest, most appreciated. Thanks for telling me why i voted the way i did, i wouldn't have known otherwise, it's good that we have people like you around providing this service.

Cool, no worries!
