A lot of time is spent worrying about the lack of women in the boardroom and far too little spent worrying about the lack of men in the classroom. Quite right here @DamianHinds @talkRADIOhttps://twitter.com/talkRADIO/status/1089827679363313665 …

The first time you hugged a crying child, helped one to the toilet, picked one up in the playground etc and the child told parents you'd immediately be suspended pending sexual assault charges. Why would you risk it?

Getting more men into primary classrooms is going to be difficult, in the current climate. With too many people questioning motivations.

The problem with men working in the classroom is they are frequently being accused of child abuse when all they are doing is trying to comfort their pupils. Hard life for them always on tenterhooks of being suspended for nothing in these snowflake times.

Another "here today gone tomorrow" politico makes a sensible comment, nice sound byte but nothing will happen.

Sounds reasonable but it might be that men and women respectively chose for themselves how they combined their life / work balances.

Any man thinking aabout a career in primary education will be acutely aware of all the mothers at the school gate questioning his motives. Hinds and his ilk created this atmosphere.

Why not concentrate on the best qualified for the roles rather than trying to make gender specific appointments. I understand the drive to balance the inequality position but it must surely be the right person.
