This is unbelievably crass from #FBPE darling @acgrayling. Likening registration with the Holocaust? Most EU citizens are already required to carry ID cards in their own countries and to register their presence in another EU state after staying three months. The fact that a supposedly eminent academic like
@acgrayling can tweet things like this is a serious indictment of the insanity that is now gripping the Remainiacs over the prospect of Brexit.Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Terrible grammar...
-
You cannot be required... doesn’t really make an awful lot of sense ....

-
You can not be required , but try applying for permanent residence 5 years after you've been in the country. No initial registration equals no permanent residence in most eu states

This shows that EU nationals can be asked to leave if they have no work for 3 months. Sounds sensible to me, why are you so against it?

We don’t choose to enforce those rules.
-
EU shouldnt make any rules on our border
-
We made the rules as part of the EU, you fool.
-
and still EU should not make any rules on our borders. nice name calling
-
Why do you refer to “the EU” as if we had no part in drawing up the rules and treaties. This has been the major problem with the us and them attitude, when we are part of “them” as well
-
UK is not EU... Only Uk should have say on it border rules, Only France should have a say on its border rule etc...without the EU
-
You make my point !

This is EU Freedom of Movement. Quite liveable with in my view, we just need to enforce the current rules, manage our own borders accordingly, follow EU & UN rules / laws on migrants. If it helps us secure a free trade deal with EU, might save a lot of fuss.

And this relates to the ability that the U.K. has and has had (since at least 2004) of controlling FoM as a full EU member state. Unlike many EU member state governments, the U.K. has never bothered to do this. Not really the fault of the EU or EU law though is it?pic.twitter.com/6ok9lnZg5j

@acgrayling doesn't like reality or reasonableness to get in the way of his dogma and self-indulgence, even if it exploits the memory of the victims of genocide.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The U.K. should be open to anyone who wishes to come here Julia, without restrictions and without even telling us they’re here....didn’t you know that Julia?

If you want to spend more than 3 months in Spain you need to PROVE: 1. Income (job or pension) 2. Healthcare (insurance or UK provided) - and you have to pay a fee.
