So how is a business moving its HQ out of the UK an example of Global Britain? What value does this add to the UK?

What value is added to the UK when the EU pays JLR to move manufacturing facilities to Slovakia? Or creates Ports regulations which uniquely hit our private ports? Or clinical trials directives which destroy our clinical trials industry? Or banking regs which threaten the City?

Or gives £5bn per annum in social and structural funds to the UK. Or gives access to the largest single market in the world. Or gives us the freedom to work in 31 countries. Or advocates for measure to prevent global warming. Or eliminates roaming charges across a continent.

No such thing as ‘EU money’, as you well know. Dyson aren’t just leaving the U.K., they’re also leaving the EU. And Singapore are negotiating a FTA with the EU that doesn’t require them to pay £39 billion or £10 billion/year.

Well said. It's also important to note that Dyson doesn't make anything in the UK anyway. So to Dyson, there's no benefit of a UK-EU trade deal, or the UK being part of EU institutions. Dyson doesn't export from the UK.

Dyson will be investing more money, and creating more jobs, in Britain. the company is not moving, only a few staff.

If Dyson is moving the headquarters it will move its IP and therefore its tax base. That means millions less in tax revenue, and millions less for the NHS and other public services.
