Unbelievable. Look at the size of the machete that man is carrying. Imagine being a police officer confronting that WITHOUT a taser...https://twitter.com/999London/status/1084919907165323264 …

Perhaps he should have been checked thoroughly before entering this country, if he has a criminal record etc. Carrying a machete he doesn’t care about the rules of this country. Deport him

I've seen other situations where tazers have had no effect. If my son worked as a policeman in a City I'd want him carrying a gun.

A few years ago in Manchester a blind man with a white stick was tasered when police thought he had a machete. I presume you would have preferred he had been shot with a gun instead!

“I presume you would” is a really poor argument when you are making up some alternative scenario. It’s like me saying “I assume you would be happy if the taser got caught in the clothing and the copper was killed”.

Sounds like something an American cop who has a drinking problem and is a bit ‘edgy’ (and no one wants to be his partner) would say when questioned by his angry ‘Cap’ why he blew up 2 blocks and rammed a car through a restaurant window, catching a drug dealer. 😂

Seriously believe me. That is a scary place to be with just a poxy taser. That machete is infinitely more dangerous. It worked that time luckily but one miss and that could've ended very differently.

Thankfully you’re not making the decision. Tasers are a very effective use of force and again seen on this occasion to disarm the offender. No need for lethal weapons to be deployed.
