Journalists talk a lot about “crunch” weeks for politicians but we are about to enter a crunch week for our democracy. Do Remainer MPs defy the EU referendum vote & their own election manifestos to stop Brexit - or do we live in a democracy? It’s really that simple.pic.twitter.com/aAzI5MikkX

We live in a democracy, which is why no-deal and May’s deal will be rejected by MP’s, and there will be a People’s Vote to decide on whether to Remain. This IS democracy.

        1) The national interest needs to be served. 2) Referendums are not the sole embodiment of democracy, which is why they were so beloved by Hitler and Mussolini as shortcuts to attain power.

Very sad some people dont understand that the referendum was held with the full agreement of parliament who voted to.uphold the result in full. Sadly some people are simply sore losers

Similarly it is sad that people accept the validity of the referendum result despite it being won by illicit means.

#MeToo full control of GB laws, borders, fishing waters, end of free movement and the end of benefit payments to migrants which despite being a priority issue in 2015/16 has had no mention. That tells me cash keeps flowing

What will it take to make you realise you've been duped? Fishing is half a % of the UK economy and sells most of its catch to the EU. Every study show immigrants have an economic net benefit to the economy. UK is sovereign and already makes its own laws and makes those in the EU.

Oh well because they buy some fish we need to stay. Wake up the fish will still be sold the sun will rise and fall everyday but we will control who and how much we sell and buy for.

Correct. He's also overlooking the additional fish caught in our waters by EU fishermen that get landed and sold in EU which will be available for our boys to land in GB and sell along with the stuff they caught previously. More GB jobs!

I am not a political person or activist, just someone who works hard every day running a business, who do these MPs think they are? It astounds me they cannot deliver an EU exit, the referendum was simply in or out (charter house speech) Democracy only if it suits, sad really!

Our army is deployed in many countries to give people a democratic vote but here democracy obviously counts for nothing.

MPs have a responsibility to deliver the best interests of the electorate. Remain and most Leave MPs agree the PMs deal is not in our interest. Remain and most Leave MPs (at some point) have stated that a no deal Brexit will hurt us (for a period time). Hence #PeoplesVote

Surely this is one big charade. May's Chequers plan, drafted in agreement with her EU masters, was designed to be Remain with no say. It is worse than no deal, an option now removed by Remain MP's.The Remain majority in the Commons will never accept Brexit.

They’re already tearing up the constitution. These EU fanatics are the real extremists, we had a vote and a decision was being made but these extremists are doing everything they can to ignore and thwart it.
