      There was a general election after that where the people voted to take power away from the Conservatives and this is the result. Democracy I believe you would call it.

          What a silly comment. In a two-party system, where both support Brexit, what options did the electorate have??!? In PR the results would hugely different!! And the vote in GE had nothing to do with Brexit!

          There is, but people will not vote for smaller parties in the uk for some reason and that left us in a position where we had no opposition to Brexit.

          Really??? So you don't think that the house and the chair have a right to place a motion and respect the wish of the HoC, following legal advice of the clerk? Members of the HoC have a duty to ensure democracy remains.

          Oh please. May said “strengthen my hand and crush the saboteurs”. The voters said “not so fast”. The idea that leave went from 52 to 85% in a year is just another sick delusion.

          Rather sensibly Parliament has actually taken all voters into consideration and done the one grown up thing in 2 years, rejected the utter idiocy of a no deal Brexit...even the vote in HoP was similarly close to the referendum. Spooky eh!

          They were both, in line with the referendum promising rainbows and unicorns. If the government comes back with something less than said unicorns and rainbows should not the representatives of the people have a clear say?
