Shame on every single one of them. Spineless and undemocratic. Voters will not forget this.https://twitter.com/PolhomeEditor/status/1082712883581079552 …

And then global alt right disaster capitalist deregulators & tax avoiders paid illegal money to target us with lies & propaganda, preying on fears & insecurities, promising the unachievable. (oh! that's you isn't it?) Why, Ms HB, would you want to destabilise & damage the uk?

Yes agreed that is exactly what occurred. Thanks.

Parliament voted to hold an advisory referendum. David Cameron made a political decision to override the sovereignty of Parliament and declare that the referendum would be the people's 'final say'. Out of interest, did you protest that override of sovereignty, Julia? At all?

No, they didn't. The referendum was advisory, and it wasn't this Parliament anyway.

Actually no, when Parl. voted to hold the Referendum it was only advisory. It was only *after* that vote, that Cameron announced it would be treated as binding. This was the first example of the strategic dishonesty and dissemination that we've seen in every stage of this coup.

You are (possibly deliberately) misconstruing two things - the 2015-2017 parliament’s judgement on the issue of leave/remain (devolved to the people once in June 2016) and 2017-present Parliament’s sovereignty on that and all other issues going forward.

Nope. They voted to have an advisory referendum, for parliament to have a final say.

Then give the people the "final say"
#PeoplesVote -
Unfortunately the result of a
#Losersvote would only be 'Advisory'. -
As the first vote was! Your point is nil and void.

That's just not how it works. Parliament is under no obligation to take notice of the referendum. If they ignore it, they may pay a political price. That's how it works.

It’s not possible to have a referendum on every issue as things can change rapidly. Hence we have a parliament elected to manage that on our behalf. Things have changed with Brexit, parliament is reacting accordingly. That’s the way it should be.
