"Take back control, restore parliamentary sovereignty NO WAIT NOT LIKE THAT THOUGH"

-
-
-
No one talked about Parliamentary sovereignty- it was about the sovereignty of the British PEOPLE
-
Not sure what you want me to explain. The British people can control what the British Parliament does but they can’t control what the EU does. Which bit of this confuses you?
-
The bit where MEP's, elected by British people, can't influence EU but MP's, elected by British people, can influence Parliament
-
British MEPs make up a tiny minority of the European Parliament
-
If 10% is a tiny minority when we are 1 of 28 countries, why do you go on like a 2% swing is such a significant majority?

Yvette cooper is my MP (I didn't vote for her) her constituency voted for leave, why does she think her personal opinion counts more than mine, we all had 1 vote + we voted to leave, why does she get to try + overturn it because she didn't get the result she expected, shameless
-
Unfortunately I didn’t vote to leave!
-
But the majority did, that's how democracy works, if remain had won I would've been disappointed but I would've acted like an adult + accepted the result, it's a shame the remain side can't do the same
-
Right, but what exactly did you vote for? A Norway exit? A uniquely perfect deal as promised by Johnson and friends? And how sure are you that all the other 17 million wanted the same deal as you? Do they all want to leave with no deal whatever the cost may be?
-
I voted leave, thinking the government would get a reasonable deal + accepting some compromises would be made but that they would walk away without a deal if the E.U started playing silly beggars, I can't speak for anyone else but I would think most leave voters thought the same
-
she's doing what's best for the country, next
-
No, she's trying to undermine a democratic vote because she didn't get the result she wanted, remainers are behaving like spoilt children, if we don't abide by the results of democratic votes because we our side didn't win, where will it end
-
Maybe just maybe we are behaving like responsible adults rather than spoilt children? I would have accepted the result even though I voted remain but imho this is not what anyone voted for - and my leave voting friends agree.

I am so angry, it is a disgrace. Basically the majority of MP’s are saying that they know better than the British public and therefore lets just ignore them. They are a total disgrace.
-
I thought that's why we elect them.
-
We elect them to run our country and carry out our will. They’re doing the opposite.
-
We elect them to represent our best interests.

With respect, you sound like a supplicant child desperate for the auspices of a supreme being. If you agree with the mechanisms for subverting the 2016 result, I have one thing to say: they'll eventually use them on you. Enjoy your awakening.
-
With respect, if you thought we'd be anywhere else but where we are now, you should have woken up long time ago.
-
I'm not sure the logical fallacy of consigning cake to being a bad idea based on the use of bad ingredients - forgive the metaphor - can be sustained. MPs and a visionless government have confected such a disaster as a means to 'prove' they were right. It's sedition.
