That's your opinion. My refutation: In what situations do gender matter? When addressing someone, when socially sorting people, with some medical matters and with matters of mating. The first two requires mere observation of how someone's looking usually. They're not a big issue.

With medical matters, it can be taken note of, to ensure they get correct treatment. But that doesn't change that most of the time, gender is a mere social way of treating people. Mating depends on how specific someone's tastes are, and again, is an irrelevant social front.

My point is mansplaining to a women that she's wrong on how she views being born a woman vs men who are not born women.

Er, I’m perfectly happy to be challenged. I’m not anti trans at all. I also am not angry about trans people at all. But a woman is a woman and a man is a man. Perfect happy for a man to become a trans woman. But that doesn’t make him a woman. Words have meanings.

I disagree and think that it does make a trans man a man, and a trans woman a woman. You said it was 'facts', but it's your opinion. We're currently in the middle of an argument my generation has a more sympathetic understanding of. Thanks for being 'happy' to be challenged.

Surgery might change appearance, but it doesn't change gender any more than it changes place of birth.

Totally agree, you are born a man or a woman. You can change everything about your anatomy, your hair or your breasts but you are still a man or a woman from birth

What definition of trans woman did they give? There is a great deal of confusion among the general public about it. Some believe trans means the person has had full sex reassignment surgery, but the Stonewall definition of trans is anyone who feels like a woman on any given day!
