So you're happy that young people are being stripped of the rights and freedoms that our generation has taken for granted?

How on earth is this guy’s son able to go and work in Singapore which (last time I looked) isn’t in the EU?

Because freedom of movement doesn’t mean you can no longer travel without it, it just means you are free from additional costs and red tape...you knew that right?

We don't know what lack of freedom of movememt means in terms of working in the EU is as they haven't told anyone yet, just the cost of holidaying there.

Considering only 10,000 young adults visit/work in Europe, not many have been that interested in heading there when they were free to do so. Asia and the rest of the world far more of an attraction.

Exactly, it’s a BS argument they don’t work or study there in large numbers. They’re more interested in spending time in Asia and Australia.

Well aware Singapore not in the EU, but thank you anyway. Simply making a point about freedom of movement. That will become more difficult in the EU. Nothing unpatriotic in working abroad.

Singapore - visas required, sponsor required, minimum qualifications & salary required, health insurance required, so an ardent Remainer relocates to a country that operates a controlled immigration policy based on need. So what’s good for Singapore is not good for the UK?

The important point is that the kid feels the need to work in Singapore because this country is rapidly going down the tubes. UK is set to be much poorer, citizens will have their rights stripped away and all that will be left is longer work hours and much higher taxes.

I don’t think that is the point, thousands of people from the UK take jobs around the world if their skills are required by business, it’s happened for decades. What rights stripped away, why will there be longer hours & higher taxes?

Working time directives, holidays entitlement, safety procedures etc. All of these things have been targeted by ERG Tories as barriers to productivity we can remove after Brexit. To create 'Brit-Singapore' you need to tax businesses at a zero rate, while workers pick up the tab.

Even if the Govt don't pursue a Singapore style regime there will be less trade, higher inflation, a much weaker £ and a lower UK credit rating - meaning cost of borrowing will be much higher. So taxes set to rise under any Brexit eventuality.

Well don’t vote for Corbynthen as they will be even higher & a Labour govt under Corbyn/McDonnell/Abbott will do more damage to UK economy than Brexit. Personally I don’t believe that Brexit will be bad for the economy in the long term.
