Apparently I've been far right for over two years - I take it to mean I'm 'really' right.

I’m a far right racist according to remainers, in reality I’m a left leaning caring person that sees the person not the colour or birthplace. I just don’t like s federal Europe and I think it is actually quite dangerous. Also not every country not in Europe is broken?
-
Well said:) I think most of us in the 17.4 million are right, centre or left leaning and get labelled as everything else just because we dare not agree with the 'remainer' point of view. It's really quite an immature mindset to name call and label with discrimination like this.

Dennis Skinner, Dr David Owen, Gisela Stuart, etc 'far right'? Don't think they would be too chuffed with that description. I also think some people are getting the EU mixed up with some sort of nationality. The EU is a political outfit, an un-elected one to boot.
-
Yep, drives me crazy when people keep throwing the term Europe around. We're leaving the EU not severing ties with Europe.

It's very odd how many prominent secularists like
@pollytoynbee and@acgrayling, who are usually great advocates for scepticism and free-thinking, have a complete blind spot when it comes to the EU. -
One could even describe it as similar to religious fundamentalism.
-
It seems to be exactly the same. Unquestioning acceptance of dogma, turning a blind eye to any faults or hypocrisy in their own beliefs, and a fanatical hatred towards anyone who thinks differently.
-
Isn't it weird? Grayling writes beautifully on philosophy, but on the EU he resembles nothing as much as an illiterate goatherd who believes the Koran, which he cannot read and may once have seen, is the literal truth because the mullah told him so. Rather sad.

It is not far right to have a problem with the EU where a commission of unelected, unaccountable appointees decide our laws. They can not be got rid of. It is not right wing to be concenred that there is no accounting for all the tax payers money that is given to EU etc
-
Comments from ms Toynbee only emphasise how thick some remainders are as to the reason we voted out !!!

@pollytoynbee said a Yougov survey shows the public is *overwhelmingly* against no deal. As is so often the case, if you check the data (which I've done), it says otherwise. 52% against, the rest are either for no deal, not sure, or don't mind either way.https://bit.ly/2Bs1Ja9 -
That's a tad misleading. If you take out the don't knows and the don't cares it's 52% unhappy with no deal versus 18% happy.
-
Polly said the survey showed overwhelming opposition to no deal. You could only reasonably include the 52% in the category of opposition. And that's not overwhelming, by any stretch of the imagination. (And neither, of course, was the referendum result.)

So she thinks 17.4 million Brexit voters across the UK are "Far Right". Or maybe they just "didn't know what they were voting for". Or maybe more likely she is just a blithering idiot who doesn't know what she is taking about?
