The Ballot Paper said Leave the European Union. This Deal means we Leave the European Union. Yet the vast majority of Leave voters don't like the deal. So clearly the vote in 2016 didn't 'finalise' anything. We (you) signed a blank cheque.

So Femi, the way forward is surely to democratically honour the vote and find a better way of leaving. Surely if we were all working to one goal we'd reach the best outcome. While everyone is arguing we are getting nowhere.
-
That pre-supposes that further negotiation is an option. It isn't. Time is up. It's No Deal, this deal, or staying in the EU. And there's only one democratic way to decide between the three.
-
Then leave means no deal. If every single MP had united on this rather than try to renege on the referendum result we wouldn't be in this mess, we voted and it was up to the government to work out the best way forward.
-
Why does leave mean no deal? Not a single person campaigned on a no deal platform. If you oppose a people's vote on the deal then you lose the right to complain if we get May's deal because you are actively campaigning to lose your right to voice your opinion.

There is no such thing as an attempt to remain by the back door. Including all the available options on the ballot paper is the only way to return sovereignty to the people. It's a mystery why you would want to limit your own ability to determine your future.

The name "People's Vote" suggests ducks perhaps voted in the last referendum? This movement creates division rather than helping the situation. We had a vote, let's honour it.https://www.ft.com/content/c3cc086e-b031-11e8-87e0-d84e0d934341 …

Quicker we leave with No Deal in March and get on with life, the better.

Had the ‘final vote’ in 2016 but we didn’t do as we were told so our lords & masters are conniving for another to get their way. Not this time. They were slapped in the face & they are smarting from the shock. If they succeed in getting one they’ll receive another, harder slap

Keep voting until you get it right, an EU understanding of democracy.

They are half right. The parliamentary logjam (caused by antidemocractic Remain parliamentarians) could be broken by a deal-only referendum: Accept Deal and Leave
Reject Deal and Leave
. This would be consistent with our 2016 decision to Leave and let us have the final say. - 1 more reply

Final vote should be about how we leave not if

Exactly my point of view, we voted leave the only question to be answered (by the public if needed) is is it with the best deal we can get (not the one offered) or under the WTO deal.
