With all due respect to Remoaners, but if you genuinely think there is is *any* parallel between Tory MPs holding a “2nd vote” on Theresa May’s leadership after 2+ years of her as PM and holding a 2nd EU referendum before we’ve even left the EU, then you’re a blithering idiot.

The whole democracy in action thing would have more weight if the Tories had actually won with a majority. My MP got in by 300 seats, so most his constituents didn't vote for him. They did vote Remain and he seems drawn to no deal Brexit. Doesn't feel like democracy.

Democracy has gone out the window, since 2010, we've been Governed by a Tory party that could only manage 24% of the Electorate? There are many more people, 17.5m, 37.7%, that didn't vote for any party, than what Tories can muster.

And a referendum on the terms of our exit from the EU is NOT democracy in action?!
-
No that's fine. As long as you accept that the decision to leave has been taken and so remain is not on the ballot

So you'd then be happy to rejoin the EU and have to adopt the euro? Why not just stay in and keep the pound?
-
Or better still leave and stay out. The
#EU won’t exist in current form in two years time -
People have been saying that about the EU for 40 years. Buy a new record.

Shows great minds recognise the enemy then

That is, assuming we still have a government and/or country two years post-Brexit..
-
Oh we will, BUT I doubt I can say the same IF we Remain! Under Lisbon Treaty [tell me again what was it for?] we're supposed to be Fully Integrated 1/1/2020, which is why I believe May placed the Transition Period. It allows LT clauses to become laws, which she said we'd adopt?

Boom, well explained Julia but it must get tiring for you having to explain democracy to all these donuts all the time
