It’s always made me sick to my stomach when I hear about these cases. I have two young girls who I hope will have the same adventures as me, it makes me wonder what my parents thought when I was off on my travels. It’s gut wrenching.....

My daughter was there this time last year on her gap year. Ironically I didn’t worry about her so much when she was in NZ compared with all the other countries she visited. I feel sick about it and this family are in my thoughts. Praying that she’s found safely.

It happened to a family I know. It was the 'not knowing' if their child (21) was alive or dead. The family were broken when the child was found murdered. They are still broken 15 years later. My heart goes out to Mr and Mrs Millane. Please let her be found safe.

Sad as it is but seems Australia, New Zealand Japan & Thailand are the worst countries for young women in particular, to go on their social adventures. Hope & pray that
#Grace amazes us, by making contact with her anxious & traumatised family.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Heartbreaking. My son went to New Zealand 12 years ago and made his home there. I still remember resisting the urge to dive under the barriers and rugby tackle him to stop him leaving as he queued to check in. This situation must be unbearable.

Heartbreaking- my middle child is off on his gap year travels in the New Year and of course he is excited and ready for the adventure but as his mum I will always worry. I truly hope Grace is found.

Whenever I hear a radio report of a missing female, I fear the worst and fully expect them to be young, slim and pretty. Her parents and friends will be in the darkest of places now - we can only hope and pray for a positive outcome.

But you voted to fuck up her current options.

WTF does Brexit have to do with a missing backpacker? What an unnecessary thing to say. Stop hijacking this awful situation to talk about Brexit. And I say that as a remainer.
