I am so beyond angry with MPs tonight. The entire bloody reason why voters demanded a referendum on Brexit was because MPs didn’t represent the people’s views on the EU. They still don’t. They asked us what we wanted. We told them. Now implement the Brexit we asked for.

Yes they did. There was a majority for leaving the EU before the 2015 election which was why Cameron had to promise to hold a referendum. Do try to keep up, babes.

No, he did it because so many Tory voters would have abandoned the Tories to vote UKIP. Bugger all to do with his own Eurosceptics. Voters made it an election issue. Because they wanted to have their say. I was a political editor at the time.

I thought everybody knew this. UKIP, a single issue party had finished 3rd in the General Election, more votes than SNP & Libs combined. Remainers don't like facts.

It was something that was unresolved at the sixth form debating society at Eton. Nobody outside a handful of Tories had an ounce of interest in a plebiscite.

No Brexit was stirred up and promoted by 3 career politicians who only care about themselves and power. Johnson, Gove and Farage. They lied, exaggerated, mislead and played with voters fears. Take this away and there would have been no Brexit.

Rubbish voters were not demanding a referendum, UKIP held zero seats in Parliament (one if you count Douglas Carswell). Cameron didn’t know the difference between tactical and strategic politics

So then he gambled with our economic future because him being in power was more important than anything else. "Everything's on fire, Dave." "Yeah, but at least Labour aren't in power for at least another four years." "Totes worth it, Dave." "Caviar?" "Go on, then."

And political editors don’t infuse reports (hardly call it journalism) with own perspective? If Tory voters swung to UKIP, it’s because “political” (populist) editors of Mail, Telegraph, likes of you, drove us crazy with 40-yr bombardment by Euromyths. https://blogs.ec.europa.eu/ECintheUK/euromyths-a-z-index/ …
