Says a woman who gets paid obscene amounts for talking shit on a radio station - a job that could frankly be done by any Friday night High Street drunk! Do a real job for a week on a low wage and comment again!

I’ve done plenty of real jobs on low wages, thanks. Waitressed for many years, barmaid, burger takeaway, pub lunch cook, cleaner, envelope stuffer, au pair, secretary, filing clerk... you name it, I’ve done it. So what is your actual point?
-
That explains why you voted Brexit. You want your old jobs back.https://twitter.com/juliahb1/status/1070346954671091715?s=21 …

When anybody writes these articles the first thing I do is found out who is writing it. James Heywood was an adviser for treasury- so he is going to say that! Let me guess! Is CapX another so-called think tank?
-
Does your detective work also lead you to believe he’s made up those statistics?

Isn’t it a fundamental problem then when taxpayers top up low wages or high rents that, in reality we are encouraging bad employers to pay lower wages and make landlords unnecessarily richer?

1- The biggest factor in reducing poverty in Uk and helping majority is Housing costs Rent or ability to buy and service a mortgage The lack of affordable housing/rent issue has caused the poverty Many reasons Enough of skilled tradespeople - lack of incentive to Train
-
2- planning permission land banking major builders at capacity - not enough local authority building budgets need a immediate change incentivise youngsters to train in skills required - will earn more than many on irrelevant degrees need similar money as HS2 -local build
-
3- big issue which will happen - generation rent and working class poor no where to live in retirement need whole retirement villages to be built inc community hospitals etc without building of a scale of 30k plus housing communities millions in need not too distant future
-
The issue of lower relative wages - will continue with A1 technology and changes in employment would be irrelevant if housing costs are slashed A lot of issues would disappear with huge social build programme current shortfall circa 5 million - huge catch up ps Tory voter
