The Govt’s “zero tolerance” knife policy in action. That seems to be going well, doesn’t it?https://twitter.com/metpoliceuk/status/1067470642629480448 …

It seems extremely odd to me that the guy who put a bacon sandwich in a mosque received a prison sentence, which turned into a death sentence & this chap gets a suspended sentence. It does seem as though we have a two tier legal system.

It's almost like, not punishing people for crime precipitates lots of crime. Weird, that.

We need to overhaul the judicial system and have a more transparent process of appointing and removing judges.

3 months for a bladed article and if under 18 years and caught with a knife it’s 6 months and 18 and over for possession of a knife it’s 4years but sadly we are not enforcing our laws or changing them to protect the public

The point here isn’t about stop and search. We know he had a knife and have video evidence of him using it to try and kill someone. The point is what we do with offenders. He should have been gaoled for a very, very long time. Not let off with 2 years suspended sentence.

He already has one sentence behind him for attacking a minor with a knife. - Just breaking on LBC. The judge who sentenced him should be removed from the bench.

The judge is so far detached from reality. And if the judge thinks this is justice needs removing ,totally incompetent.Feel for police who get these scum bags to court only for this sort of sentence to happen. No wonder the public are losing faith in the justice system

That's 'cos their idea of 'dangerous' is different to ours. They judge by danger to their IMAGE, to their credibility. They don't need to fear for personal safety - like us - as they live in trouble-free areas, have chauffeur transport and some even have security details.
