Er, haven’t Brexiteers always said that a technological solution would resolve the Irish border issue?https://twitter.com/gordonrayner/status/1064871212063617026 …

    Julia Hartley-Brewer added,

Cabinet was told today that "technological solutions" could present an alternative way out of the NI backstop arrangement. That was what May told IDS yesterday that led to Brexiteers leaving No10 without commenting to the media.

Said it before and shall say it again. If my Waitrose membership card can log the items that I purchase week in week out and I can scan my card on checkout. Why is a similar type of check-in/check-out automated system completely out of the realms of possibility?pic.twitter.com/0cLKj2EzXR

Not sure 'cabinet' were informed, last May, though Olly Robbins certainly knew, did Theresa May know? Julia they don't want a solution, they don't want to leave the EU and have come up with this withdrawal draft to accomplish their wishes. The real problem is the hijacking of our democracy.

Remainers don't want a solution because they don't want Brexit to be a success, because they will look stupid and have to admit they were wrong if it is. That's literally all it comes down to.

Yes, the EU itself commissioned a report and that was it’s conclusion too. This “backstop” is a Blair idea. x

This is a diversionary tactic. Don't listen to it @JuliaHB1. This is to focus attention on the NI border while the hand plays other games. EU employees unprosecutable (including their Army which we're now signed up to). I think we need to think again what's really happening...

Riiiiight. So we've agreed to fund their army... Is that just prior to brexit or long term? The EUs enemies aren't necessarily ours. Could get messy...

Well it's in the W/A. Put it this way: If EU employees aren't allowed to be prosecuted, and media is being controlled through funding (BBC et al)....... What's to stop them massacring dissesnters? We've seen Verhoftwat and the way he acts, the Commission too. Not too far-fetched

That's what they all want though, persecution for the use of words. Call be libertarian but I couldn't care less what someone says, so long as it doesn't cause "meaningful" harm.

There was a border issue? I thought it was all hyped up, with threats of violence thrown in, just to guarantee total capitulation and surrender to the EU and to ensure that #Brexit fails. Or are the EU and Ireland now calling for a hard border if we dare to leave with no deal?
