Ever since @DAaronovitch convinced me, I’ve tried to avoid all male panels. Aside from the optics it usually means poorer, narrower understanding of whatever is being discussedhttps://twitter.com/christopherhope/status/1064821981416251392 …

Your call but it’s not usually women who are unheard in public fora
Really...?!?! If they aren’t, isn’t it often their own choice?
Tim's virtue signaling Tuesday morning bollocks.
Yes. Avoid all panels Julia, just to be safe.
Take a look at the Midwifery Conference. https://www.rcmconference.org.uk/speakers/ . Only 2/50 speakers are male.
In my opinion you should avoid any panel be it mixed or all female
I went to panel of Premier League footballers and they were all young, very athletic and male.....I was outraged.
Please keep doing the papers on @MarrShow when it’s all women on the sofa. Need to keep the pressure on @pollytoynbee et al.
It does not matter who is on the panel. But the people who are must have something to contribute. It is the quality of the debate that matters
Purely statistically if nothing else, you’d expect all panels to be roughly balanced If they’re not then something is wrong somewhere, surely?
And public toilets!
Tim is losing all sense of objectivity. His willingness to use pathetic pc smearing tactics is very revealing.
It's interesting. Women tend to be really good on etiquette, feelings etc. Stereotypes, but probably true! But his comment looks like tokenism
Why doesn't Tim just 'identify' as a woman for that occasion. Sorted.
