She’s right. This isn’t about party politics. It’s about democracy. So deliver what the people voted for or resign.https://twitter.com/theresa_may/status/1064138265815482368 …

No one believes a word she utters. Trust her? Not anymore. She has made sure that if she continues to cling on to power her leadership will be viewed like Bliar/brown. Dishonest.

If this farcical betrayal of a so-called ‘deal’ survives, the Conservative party will lose yet another life-long Conservative voter! I KNOW for what I voted... OUT of the Single Market, OUT of the Customs Union & thus OUT of the EU. Promises should be kept and democracy honoured!

In a democracy, ‘national interest’ is usually determined by what the electorate want, as expressed at the ballot box. @theresa_may defines it as ‘whatever she thinks best’. She doesn’t trust the people (& the feeling’s mutual). #MayMustGoNow

Sadly it's becoming a question of how much more damage duplicitous May can do to this country whilst she remains in office. Unlike her Brexit strategy, were we leave in name only, she will definately be leaving,

They were voted in on a @Brexit manifesto and the contents of the Lancaster house were not given a blank cheque but a mandate to exit the #EU, the Single Market & the Customs Union. Deliver on that mandate @Conservatives or resign @theresa_may if you won’t #MayMustGoNow

Would that be the Lancaster House speech in 2017? After the referendum? That's what people voted on in 2016? Norway is in the SM, but not in the EU, for example. There is no mandate that makes any kind of sense.

Democracy's just had the skids put under it. Juncker said it all when he spouted: "I'm ready to be insulted as being insufficiently democratic, but I want to be serious ... I am for secret, dark debates". eu federalism is not democracy in action. Not at all.
