Carole, I’ve met Arron a handful of times & have absolutely no idea how his business is financed. I don’t speak for him. If there’s any wrongdoing, it should be investigated. It is a matter of fact that your newspaper has often had to correct factual mistakes in your articles. https://twitter.com/carolecadwalla/status/1059027011270717441 …

Sorry, but you can’t really compare yourself with her, from a professional perspective; she’s a real investigative journalist, you’re a rabble baiting opinion piece writer.

25 years and no complaints at all ?
-
That isn't what she said, is it? I know in your topsy turvy world complaints and accusations mean guilty, but in the real world it doesn't, yet.

I don't know how much investigative journalism you do, but I'd have thought occasionally factual errors are inevitable as part of the process when persons under investigation are doing everything they can to obfuscate. Correct, and keep going, investigative journalists.
-
I may be wrong but I believe the retraction by the observer referred to was found later not to have been necessary as the initial claim on AIQ was correct.
-
I don't suppose Julia H-B fact checks her opinions, as she knows what she thinks. However, that is not investigative journalism.
-
As in ...... do i believe myself? Yes - therefore factually i am correct? Difficult to put together a cogent counter argument eh Ruth?
-
I am sure JHB agrees with herself. Fortunately, I don't have to.
-
Indeed ..... It's called freedom of thought and freedom of speech. Don't ya love it

that's because you don't include facts in your articles only unsubstantiated opinions...

Have you won any journalistic prizes Julia? True, you’ll be remembered for “Every Prime Minister Needs a Willie” and coming 80th in Iain Dale’s most influential people in the right.
@carolecadwalla won the Orwell Prize. She had her novel shortlisted in several awards. - 1 more reply

You’re not a journalist

Let's face it, anyone reading your articles isn't literate enough to draft a complaint, or a legal complaint.

You're counting your time working for the Express - all of which was whilst Richard Desmond was proprietor - as time spent working as a journalist? Really?

I thought that’s how proper, trained, journalists were supposed to behave! It seems that, from some of the comments on here, it appears there are a number of muck-raking, factually challenged, pot-stirrers out there who are trying to impersonate journalists!
