Why?!?! He wore a costume to a *private* Halloween party which cleverly mocked the murderous Saudi regime, not the man who was murdered. What on earth is he apologising for and to whom - the people who are too stupid and humourless to get the joke?https://twitter.com/DailyMailUK/status/1058283838890274816 …

It's called dark humour, it's a very old tradition. It's not a statement of support.

a manager of journalists dresses up as a murderer of a journalist.. Is that really clever or funny... perhaps he's apologising to kashoggi's partner, or family, or the journalists he manages...I know, perhaps he should have gone dressed as the synagogue murderer...

You need to work on having a sense of humour more sophisticated than Benny Hill.

No Julia, you need to learn some mature respect for the difference between black humour and obscene indulgence in gore. What's funny about it?

So if a member of your family had recently been chopped up & someone went to ‘star-studded’ private party (with papparazzi) as their murderer, with blood on their costume & a severed hand prop, you’d be fine with that?

If a member of my family had been killed and the murderer was known and was still free a month later, I'd be more upset about that than a costume worn by someone I don't know in a foreign country. But that could just be me.

That any outrage over the costume is absurd; it's just too trivial.

If there’s one thing worse than the pathetic, perpetually offended snowflakes, it’s the capitulation of individuals who make public apologies which emboldens the perpetually offended snowflakes.
