Those young people didn’t have a say on Brexit because they were children at the time. It’s really not complicated.https://twitter.com/AmandaCC92/status/1055042420394651648 …

Excellent to hear @ChukaUmunna highlighting both the thousands of people who marched last weekend for a #PeoplesVote and also the over 1.5million young people who have never had a vote on Brexit on #PoliticsLive today 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

We're still in the EU, Brexit is a proven nonsense, they are now adults, let them decide. It's really not that complicated! #PeoplesVote

If we’re still in the EU, how can Brexit be a proven nonsense? Can’t prove a something that hasn’t happened, only speculate.

I think we should take into consideration what foetuses may vote for. They have a right to their say on this matter. Don’t oppress them.

But they are adults now and their lives will be more adversely impacted by this catastrophic act of self harm. They should have been given a say at the original referendum!

😂😂😂 so what age should they have been allowed to vote from? 14? 10? Maybe 5 even? As they will “suffer” (or benefit) most. There’s a voting age for a reason 🤦🏼‍♂️

I agree there has to be a limit. And that is set as part of the enabling act for the referendum. As they would have come of age during the period of Article 50 it should have been set as 16 being the voting age. As with Indyref.

I was too young in 1975 for the first referendum. Can't recall any campaigns for a rerun after that one with the tag line of what about the young people. In those days adults ran things, not jumped up self entitled little snowflakes. So that's why.

Okay. But Brexit will impact on their entire working lives. Why are so many afraid to hear what they think about the trajectory this country is currently on? If Brexit truly is the "will of the people" then another vote will deliver the same result won't it?
