Hey, dinner ladies, if you want to be paid the same as bin men, there’s a really easy way to achieve that: go and get a job collecting bins. Simples!https://twitter.com/WEP_UK/status/1054621410440683522 …

Keep up. The bin men have come out on strike in solidarity with the women, so obviously they think the women's jobs merit equal pay.

What’s that got to do with anything? Doesn’t make it right.

Agree with Julia , its not right. This is bending the rules of equality Women can be bin collectors and men can work in canteens.

Well the courts disagree. They had already been awarded this parity. They were striking because the council failed to pay up. Try reading the story.

You should. 'Try' engaging with the world a bit. Might make you realise that the people who spend their time wiping the arses of our elderly, dealing with the sick & the violent deserve to be paid more that dog walkers and the same as men.

You clearly have several issues that you feel you can blame everyone in this thread for . I have made my point . You however are looking rather silly now.

The people who are actually doing the job consider that the women who care for our elderly, lifting the fallen, toiletting incontinent adults, coping with those suffering from dementia deserve parity of pay. They had already won their case for equal pay. Glasgow hadn't delivered
