Says Keira Knightley a woman who wears next to nothing in a perfume advert so women can appear more alluring to men.

Oh I see, so a woman can't be sensual and feminist at the same time? Do you think one denies the other? Also, what do you mean by "so women can appear more alluring to men"? Do you think wearing "next to nothing" is done especially to provoke men? --
-
Knightley won't let her daughter watch Disney movies that portray women as weak. Then she appears in perfume adverts that portray women as sexual objects for men for which she gets paid. I think she has double standards.
-
Well said definitely double standards going on there but she’s never admit to it

Absolutely Ridiculous to ban Disney films for children

PC bollocks and MeToo going to far. Soon you won’t be able to say or think anything. I glad l grew up in 70/80s!! The world
mad!!! -
You're correct, Keira Knightly says she won't let her daughter watch certain films for her own reasons and people try to shut her down and deny her a voice!
-
I am not shutting down her voice but she is complaining because according to her there are no strong females roles. It’s only a fairytale. She banned her kids watching certain cartoons films is her choice but it’s ridiculous in my opinion as it’s all to do with MeToo movement.
-
She's not complaining that there aren't strong female role models - she's saying there are much better portrayals of women than a couple of old Disney films. It's brilliant that strong female characters are no longer few and far between, it's great for all of us.
-
Oh look a special dickhead who doesn't want girls growing up seeing strong representations of women on the big screen. I wonder why

-
But there are films with strong female roles! She is making a massive storm in a tea cup if she doesn’t want her kids watching Disney cartoons that’s fine but why does she feel the need to tell everyone? In all honesty does anyone really give two shits??

It's funny, your followers love it when you say you won't let your daughter watch certain films but hate it when Keira Knightly does the same! It's almost like they are hypocrites or something.
-
I don't believe I've ever seen or heard Julia say she'd do the same. Keira is simply seeking to remain relevant by making a political statement, with yet another anti men theme. I'd hand her a man sized tissue if they weren't banned!
-
Haha! It's literally what Julia says in the original tweet! And she's entitled to, just as Keira is. Can't see anything in what she says that is anti-men here - your masculinity must be very fragile to be threatened by someone wanting to see strong female characters in films.
-
Fragile? You've gone to town on this!
-
You’re the one who said that a few statements made about female characters in films was “anti-men”. I think that’s going to town!
-
I don't speak for Julia, but I think of her as a strong woman, she's possibly sick of women being portrayed as weak when there's examples of strong women everywhere, & a rebrand of a box of tissues is a small victory.
-
Knightly literally mentions two old Disney films that she doesn’t like then names a whole load of films with better female characterisation. What is there to be pissed off about? I don’t know what this man-sized tissue stuff is, I buy Lidl’s own. One size fits all.
