The state of this tweet. The care home has been owned by a different company since 2016 & they clearly state that it's closing due to difficulties recruiting qualified nursing staff due to Brexit. The NHS cannot fill 100k vacancies. Get a grip! Me & my bloody facts, eh? @JuliaHB1pic.twitter.com/rCiOVZdlco

Ah, yes, that’s what they SAY. Funny how the chronic lack of staff isn’t affecting their other four homes though, isn’t it? And why they don’t have full occupancy when care home places are in short supply? Nothing to do with bad management and poor inspection reports...? Really?

Oh, and the “new” owners can’t get a bank loan to carry out major refurbishments since the home went into administration. Why ever not? Must be something Leave voters did, I guess...

Care homes regularly fail to keep nursing staff as the nurses can earn more on agency basis . Bugger all to do with Brexit .

They can't; As of 30 June 2017, there are 61,891EU nationals in the NHS, or 5.2% of the workforce. This is a huge 55.4% increase in the last 3.5 years – +22,084, up from 39,807 in Dec 2013 – and EU nationals have risen 8 times faster than other NHS staff. Source: NHS data 2018

And we’ve removed the bursary to train our own British nurses, so those numbers are in free fall too. A perfect storm - 40,000 vacancies.

I love how *care-homes* are (according to charlatan @JuliaHB1) known to SAY stuff to cover up real reasons, but *car-makers* like Honda, JLR, Nissan tell us the gospel truth. #Brexit - the gift that keeps on taking.

A shortage of nursing, or shortage of qualified personnel in any profession is a UK issue. To blame it on not being able to pinch staff from overseas is blatant transference of govn responsibility
