That's how we heal the divisions in the country. Pretend that almost (soon-to-be more than) half of the country doesn't exist so we can get an extreme version of Brexit that not even all of the 52% wanted.
-

-
And if Remain had won 52-48, what suggestions would you have made to heal divisions? What would you have offered leavers? Or would you have dismissed them?
-
If remain had won it would have been 52% with the same vision. The 52% in favour of Brexit had many different visions, because the outcome wasn't clear.

It was very clear leave cu, ecj and sm

It was very clear, we were supposed to be able to spend all that money on our public services. £350M / week. Except it's vanished, and we're just going to get poorer on purpose & damage OurNHS. So let's check enough people still want Brexit eh?

May has stated she will use the money we save from leaving EU into NHSpic.twitter.com/brLPGIr7MC

May is lying to us. Incorrect. Leave voters don't get to decide alone how we leave. That would be a strange form of democracy. If Remain had won that wouldn't give a mandate for Schengen, Euro etc.
-
No, but by your logic, it WOULD give a mandate for some kind of compromise between Remaining and Leaving. What do you think that compromise would be?
-
Actually implementing the immigration restrictions already allowed under EU law?
-
Superb answer!

When will you lot understand that we don't care about the numbers(there were misrepresentations on BOTH sides). We don't want to be ruled by Brussels and we want autonomy. That's all. Whatever they are using to brainwash the leftwing middle class is working splendidly.
-
What a piece of stupidity. The very fact that we can invoke Article 50 is proof that we aren't ruled by Brussels and had sovereignty the whole time.

A bit like this then Julia? ‘you have a vote, people voted against fracking, the government then ignore and overturn the vote , and when ppl get angry and protest they are sent to prison by a judge who it seems has a vested interest in the fracking business’

-
Brilliant thinking Tracy it’s Conservative double standards.

‘Any deal... must fulfil the will of Leave voters’. Which is? As you rightly point out, we had a binary referendum on the EU. There was no question about HOW to leave the EU. You cannot infer support for a particular type of Brexit from that result.
-
As we’ve seen since June 2016, there is considerable disagreement among Brexiters about how to leave the EU and what type of relationship we should have with the EU.
-
That's why we are in such a mess, there is no agreement within the government coalition (or the leavers) just what kind of Brexit we want. Nobody dares outline a real one as it is political death.
