Oh, what else should M&S sell as an optional item that little girls can wear to show modesty towards adult men so they don’t invite sexual assault? Any other suggestions? @RomeshRangahttps://twitter.com/RomeshRanga/status/1051063140966907904 …

I detect a slight shift here Julia, almost as if you realise you've gone a bit Plopkins. Can we expect you to rail against Xmas carols in primary schools, after all the children have not made any informed decision about religion have they?
-
No, this is not a shift in my position.
-
I don't recall your original tweet drawing a distinction between the Muslim majority and Islamic fundamentalists your inference was that Muslim mothers who bought this garment for their children may well be fundamentalist.
-
Hush! Julia is the arbitrator of good honest British sense! Thus spake JHB was the title of a very famous book
-
The fact it’s for little girls is a clue it’s for the more fundamentalist M&S buyer
-
Conservative possibly. Fundamentalist no.
-
But I don’t believe they even do this in Islamic countries? For such young girls
-
It varies from country to country and family to family. JHB is correct in her claim that the Quran doesn't require the hijab until puberty but its a personal choice and parents have the right to dress their children how they see fit. It's a storm in a teacup.

I’d back off if I were you - Julia is ripping you to shreds here. Mind you, it’s so much easier to win an argument when you are factually correct.

Your anti-Islamic rhetoric is getting tiresome.
